Martina & Alan Wedding Day Sat 2nd Sept 2017

Posted by:  /  Tags: ,

The Day started in the Grooms home and this was up near Milltown in Tuam. This meant being on the road early. We had great fun, one good thing about this it relaxes the Groom and the Grooms men. I hit back to the Brides home in Brickens. The Ceremony was performed by an Uncle of the Bride Fr. Jarlath Melvin. The Ceremony was very special, I never seen a church as packed for a wedding in years.
It was great to work with Patsy & Jenny Glynn. They are both so easy to work with. Castlecourt was the Hotel, and they are so professional. I worked on until the Band finished.

I would like to wish Martina & Alan a long and happy life together.

Eimear & Joe
Wedding Day Sat 19th August 2017.
This was a wedding also where I called to the Grooms home in Caherlestrane a few days before the Big day. The Brides Father drove me. The Ceremony was held in Lecanvey Church and The Castlecourt Hotel both in Westport. I must say I give top marks for doing it right to the Castlecourt.
I had two firsts I did George and Marian’s wedding( Brides Mother and Father) on super 8 film in 1978, my first Video was in Lecanvey Churh in 1986 for my neighbor Michael and Carmel Fetherston.
The Ceremony was performed by Canon Niall Ahern a first cousin of George. It was a beautiful ceremony, the scenery on the was back to the Hotel was something else. I worked just for twenty minutes of dancing. The car in the photo at the hotel belong to George and it features at all the O’Connor weddings.
I would like to wish Eimear and Joe a long and happy life together.

This was a wedding with a difference. Etienne the Groom was from France. I love a wedding like this because of that reason, the French guests were great, and they mingled with the Irish guests. The church ceremony was performed by Fr. Farragher and I Give him full marks for giving some of the ceremony in French.
The Reception was different with the way the French guests salute the happy couple after the meal. We had a present surprise for the French guests with our traditional Straw Boys at the tea break.
