Margaret Mary & Sean June 25 in Dingle Peninsula

Posted by:  /  Tags: ,

When Sean asked me to record his wedding in Dingle last year I did not realize he was serious. I could not refuse because he is one Gentleman, and when I met Margaret Mary she is a lady. They looked after both Anne and I and we had not to want for anything during our stay. The journey is 5 hours so it meant gong down the day before.
I had the Grooms house done on the Tuesday before with all his gang. The morning of the wedding I was out after ten getting them in the sea swimming. Francis Bligh got the ducking that Sean was to get. Then up to the Granny’s home where she wished Sean all the best, next on the list was the Brides Home, I never experienced such a happy bunch of Bridesmaids they were singing for the Bride while she was getting ready.
The Ceremony was beautiful, during the Ceremony my Mike was on the same frequency as the Church, so it bleeped during the Ceremony thank God he got the blame from the Priest, it took the pressure from me. I was not long rectifying the problem.
Then after Ceremony we did two laps of the town with the happy couple out the roof of the car. When we arrived in the Hotel food was laid on for everyone and the ham was Delicious. The meal was the same. The Kerry people know how to look after people. I worked on until the tea break.
I would like to wish Margaret Mary and Sean a long and happy life together

Marita & David June 17 in St. Joseph’s Church Boyle.

I started the evening before in the Grooms Home and you could not go into a better house for hospitality, both Mary and Christy are great hosts. I spent two hours and the time flew between our tractor spin and David getting ready. The crew he had made the job easy.
The next morning I went to Marita’s home, and the hospitality was great there as well, This was the first time I recorded a Bride driving a truck and fair play to Marita she was well able. The Ceremony was beautiful. Then away to the Diamond Cost Hotel and we did the last lap arriving at the Hotel in a truck, with all the gusts waiting on the Bride & Groom’s arrival. The meal was great and also the Band Concord. I worked on until the tea break.
When I did Ciara & Mike’s Wedding last year in Portugal I enjoyed meeting Marita & David at the wedding.

June 25 in Castlerea Church

I started in Gerry’s house and we had great fun which helped to relax the Groom. I then went to Anna’s home only to find out that 25 years previous I did Auntie Mary’s Wedding. I just thought I am on the second generation now. We had a great laugh and everybody was in top form. The ceremony was performed by Canon Joe who is leaving shortly.
The reception was in Lough Rynn Castle and the grounds were fantastic. The band was Declan Nearney. The couple requested just twenty minutes of the dancing.
I would like to wish Anna and Gerry a long and happy life togeter.

Amanda & Alan June 4 in St. John’s Church Lecarrow

This was a great day, and I must say that Amanda & Alan were the most lay back couple I ever met. I wish I was like them, I would not be going around with a grey head. I started in the Brides Home which is near the church. They were very lucky with the day. The parents of both families were exceptional nice people. The reception was in the Hudson Bay, and the grounds around the hotel were in great order for taking photos.
I worked until the tea break, and the happy couple were happy with that.
I Would like to wish Amanda and Alan a long and happy life together.
