Bertie & Whitney Mock Wedding

Posted by:

Bertie & Whitney Mock Wedding was in The Community Center  Ballinlough on Sat Night 30th June.  We had 3 outings first The Hen party which was recorded by Maurice Sirr Roscommon and he recorded the hen and gang going from one Pub to another in Ballinlough. Then the Bride getting ready on another occasion in Swanick’s Garage. This was great fun  showing the Bride and Bridesmaid on the way to the Church Ceremony. The Mock Wedding was during the Ballinlough Festival and it was a great success and a great crowd turned. The video of the Mock Wedding is on sale at the moment and going very well.

If you wish to get a copy of the mock wedding you may contact Sean Browne @ 0872308152.

Monsenior Austin McKeon Golden Jubilee

Monsenior Austin McKeon  was ordained in June 1962 and he held a special Mass in his home Church  in Glean Co. Sligo  for his family on Saturday 30th June and then back to the Sligo Park Hotel for the function.  When I arrived in the Church one hour before the Mass I found that the gallery was very dark to video from the altar, so I decided to put another camera up in the gallery. It worked out great and the sound was fantastic. When we arrived in the hotel we had the cutting of the cake a few speeches, then after the meal Martina (Fr McKeon’s nice Martina who was very happy with the video)  came around to the guests who wished to give a greeting. Monsenior McKeon was very happy with the outcome.

Susan & Vincent

Susan’s and Vincent’s Wedding was in St. Mary’s Church Mountbeallew and the Reception was in the Salthill Hotel Galway. This was a great wedding because the Groom Vincent was from West Cork and the people were very friendly from this neck of the woods. The video started in the Grooms home, and we made out that he was late for the wedding, then over to the Bride’s Home and all four Bridemaids were in smashing form with the hairdresser all the way from Cork. What I love with weddings in County Galway was the bonfires and this was covered from the roof of my car. We arrived in the Salthill Hotel and I stayed until 1.15 in the morning until the band finished. I had a ring from Vincent after they watched the video and they were very happy with it.

I wish Susan & Vincent a long and happy life together.

Sinead & Nial

Sinead & Nial  were married in St. Patrick’s Church Castlerea and the reception was held in the Abbey hotel Roscommon. It was  great wedding and the fact it was local everybody enjoyed the day. The weather was great and especially with the summer we are having we were lucky. I was working with a photographer Will O’Reilly from Dublin and he was so easy to go along with in fact he is one who will always stand out. We had a great chat and he was a pleasure to work with. The part of the wedding I remember most was the first dance which the Bide and Groom got involved in and also the bridal party and the parents. The band was Heebie Jeebies and they are a local bunch of lads and they were great,

I would Like to wish Sinead and Nial a long and happy life together.
